Definitions
The ‘customer’, ‘you’, ‘guest’ or ‘guests’ applies to the person or persons who will or have already booked any services provided by ‘Surf House Morocco SARL’ and its partners.
‘Surf House Morocco’ is a registered Moroccan company providing accommodation, meals and activities in Morocco. ‘Surf Star Morocco’ is the trading name for ‘Surf House Morocco’. ‘Surf House Morocco’ owns the name and brand ‘Surf Star Morocco’ world wide as registered in Morocco. We are referring to ‘Surf House Morocco’ and its partners when we state ‘Surf Star Morocco’ we are talking about the registered Moroccan company ‘Surf House Morocco’ and vice versa. In this text when we refer to ‘us’, ‘we’, ‘the management’, Surf Star Morocco’ or ‘Surf House Morocco’ in these terms and conditions.
This website ‘www.surfstarmorocco.com’ is owned by ‘Surf House Morocco’ and its purpose is to advertise holidays offered by ‘Surf House Morocco’ the Registered Moroccan Limited Company offering package holidays in Morocco. Package holidays include accommodation, meals, surfing, yoga, transportation and other activities and day trips in Morocco. Surf House Morocco also work with other companies such as transport companies and travel agents.
Travel Agents also offer our surf and yoga holiday packages. In this case, the guest may be aware that we would then be known as the travel agents branding name. Should a guest have booked through a travel agent partner, Surf House Morocco SARL’s terms and conditions are still relevant to these persons.
Disclaimer
Surf House Morocco aim to provide you with a safe and enjoyable surfing experience. We will do our best to make sure that you are safe and are aware of any potential hazards both in and out of the water, when surfing or joining any activity arranged by us or our partners. You acknowledge and agree that even though Surf House Morocco and its partners will do their best to take care of you, you except full responsibility for your own health, safety and belongings at all times. You, the guest, agrees that Surf House Morocco, its owners, partners, agents and employees shall not be liable for any personal injuries, sickness, death or loss of/ damage to personal items or equipment.
Acknowledgement of Risk and Declaration: What you are agreeing to when you book a stay or holiday package with Surf Star Morocco:
You accept and understand that surfing and any over related activities that you take part in with Surf House Morocco carry an inherent risk of bodily injury and:
- You, the guest, agrees that Surf House Morocco, its owners, partners, agents and employees shall not be liable for any personal injuries, sickness, death or loss of/ damage to personal items or equipment.
- You, the guest agrees to pay for the replacement or repair costs of any equipment, things or items owned by Surf Star Morocco SARL, or STE Surf House Morocco, or its partners which you have broken or damaged if you are asked to pay.
- You, the guest agrees that photos taken of you, may be used for promotional purposes, social media or other advertisements.
- You, the guest agrees that you have read and understood these terms and conditions and that you will also sign on arrival at Surf House Morocco an agreement of the terms and conditions before I take part in any activities.
- You, the guest agrees that you accept and fully understand these terms and conditions before paying for any part of your holiday with Surf House Morocco or its partners.
- You, the guests agrees that you are in good health and fit for travelling to and within Morocco, surfing, yoga and/or any other activities you will take part in with Surf House Morocco or its partners, and that I take full responsibility for my own health.
Insurance, and Health Issues, Allergies
Although we will do our best to take care of you when with Surf House Morocco, Guests are responsible for taking care of their own health and it is highly recommended that guests purchase Comprehensive Travel Insurance for the entire period of their stay in Morocco including the sport of Surfing and other extra activities.
The guest agrees that they accept full responsibility for their own health, allergies, diet requirements and any other health issues at all times, and to communicate this to Surf Star Morocco before arriving. Guests are responsible for having their own travel insurance which includes all elements of their stay and activities at Surf House Morocco and/or it’s partners. The guest agrees that they are in good health and fit for traveling to or within Morocco, surfing, yoga and/or all other activities organised by Surf House Morocco and/or its partners. If there are any medical situations, allergies or any other elements which may affect the surfing ability of the guest, the guest MUST tell Surf House Morocco before arrival and must have consulted a health professional who have given them permission and advise for their condition. Guests must tell their surf and/or yoga instructors as well as the chefs and/or cleaning ladies (if required for your condition/allergy) both before and upon arrival at Surf House Morocco.
If you have a medical condition which may require special equipment such as a injection (or for example if you have asthma) please ensure you bring your inhalers, mediations or medical aids even if you think you do not need them. Keep them with you and bring them to the beach too. Ensure your instructors know where the equipment or medical aid is, so that we can all be safe. Surfing pushes people to the limit physically so it is always better to be safe than sorry. We want you to have an incredible holiday. Morocco has a limited health system in comparison to many other countries so please ensure you bring everything you will need for your stay.
Cancellation Policy, Changes to Bookings and Refunds Policy
If you need to cancel your trip, please let us know as soon as possible. If you have not paid anything you will not be required to pay the remaining balance of your trip. If you have paid a deposit or if you have already paid in full;Usually, a refund will not be possible, but you will be able to use the payment you have made (deposit or full payment) and exchange it to another holiday at Surf Star Morocco (aka Surf House Morocco) on a different date (within a 1 year period) depending on availability and so long as the company is still operating. Alternatively you may be able to exchange it to a different persons name. You may write an email to contact@surfstarmorocco.com with the subject of ‘FAO Management’ and request a refund. It is the decision of the management if it is acceptable for you to have a refund.
If you need to make a change to your booking but have already paid a deposit or the full payment; please let us know as soon as possible. Usually, changes are acceptable if the cost of the holiday will increase. If there is a decrease in the cost of your holiday, it is the managers decision whether or not the price can be altered or if a refund is possible. Usually, if the price decreases the change is not acceptable.
Although Surf House Morocco will do our best to offer an amazing surf experience, we are obviously not at all responsible for the surfing conditions or weather. Therefore we can never guarantee excellent surf experiences although we will try our best. In the extremely rare event that there are unsuitable surfing conditions; for example a flat day, or a big storm; the customer is not owed a refund for Surfing, Yoga or any other activities provided or organised by Surf House Morocco or its partners. We will however do our best to provide alternative activities such as a cultural excursion such as for example visiting the Agadir Souk Markets, show surf videos, or offering extra yoga sessions for no extra charge. Our aim is to do our best to keep guests happy, healthy and safe.
Surf House Morocco cannot offer refunds should guests or staff members become ill but we promise to do the best we can to offer guests alternative activities or instruction.
If a guest acts in an irresponsible/unkind/violent way towards equipment, accommodation or any persons, Surf House Morocco have the right to ask them to leave immediately without a refund and inform local Moroccan police. In this event, it is the decision of Surf House Morocco if a refund may be given or not. Should a guest create difficulty/unkindness or make another person feel uncomfortable to another guest or staff member, Surf House Morocco have the right to immediately ask the person to leave without a refund. If a person brakes equipment or items belonging to Surf House Morocco or its partners, the guest will pay the full amount of a replacement or repair.
Lost, Stolen and or Broken Belongings, Accommodation items or Equipment
Guests agree that it is their responsibility and not Surf House Morocco’s, to take care of their valuables at all times. Surf House Morocco accepts no responsibility for belongings of guests if, in the unlikely event that they are broken or stolen. We recommend that you take care of your valuables at all times and do not advertise them in public places.
If a surfboard/wetsuit or item which belongs to Surf House Morocco is broken by a guest, it is at the discretion of Surf House Morocco whether or not the guest should pay for the repair or replacement of the item. Guests should take excellent care of the equipment of Surf House Morocco. Any activities, meals or accommodation booked with Surf House Morocco or its partners must be paid for on arrival or at the very latest before the departure of the guest. Should a guest leave without paying for anything outstanding, Surf House Morocco have the right to inform the police to take the responsible action required. Please ensure you have paid all of your outstanding balance before departing your accommodation at Surf House Morocco or its partners.
Guest Safety Recommendations
Guests are ultimately responsible for their own safety at all times during their stay at Surf House Morocco and during any activities organised by Surf House Morocco. Surf House Morocco strives for a high level of safety for its guests and staff members. This is why we offer some safety suggestions. We are very safety conscious, have security cameras and do our best to protect guests when we can from any possible dangers. We aim to take excellent care of you. However, Morocco can be a dangerous place to travel to if you are not mindful.
Surf House Morocco recommends ensuring you have sent us detailed arrival information (for example, including the flight number)to ensure your driver collects you on time and safely, and that you are able to contact us. No outside guests are allowed at Surf House Morocco without permission from the Management. Surf House Morocco does not recommend guests walking alone at night. Or, walking alone in deserted areas at any time. We recommend you do not advise your valuables, for example, showing you have an expensive camera when walking through the village. It is not recommended to leave your valuables unattended. Guests should not sit on edges of or climb over any dangerous areas such as balconies or cliff edges. Guests should always inform their surf guide or instructor should they be going somewhere out of sight. Guests should always surf in sight of their surf coach. Guests should always listen to the safety advise and landmarks given by their surf instructors or surf guides.
Privacy Policy
The personal data we collect and why we collect it
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website. During your stay, pictures of you may be used for marketing purposes, selling and informing people about our surf house and surf yoga package holidays and extra activities. Should you not want us to use photos of you, please let us know on arrival and we will do our best to make sure no photos of you are used for publicity, on our websites, our partner’s websites or on social media.

Who we share your data with and how long we retain your data for
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
